How the Labs Work

We partner with mission-aligned organizations to co-develop, test, and scale Frugal AI solutions. Our approach includes:

Co-Creation & Prototyping: Match partners with AI developers and frugal innovation experts to co-create solutions using open-source tools, lean methods, and minimal resource requirements.

Testing & Evaluation: Pilot solutions in real or controlled environments and assess them using our Frugal AI benchmarks—covering total cost of ownership (TCO), energy use, and societal value.

Support & Mentorship: Provide tailored guidance across design, deployment, and iteration—especially for solutions in the post-accelerator “missing middle” stage, where growth support is scarce.
